About Me
I moved to Shetland from Little Bardfield, a small village in North West Essex in October 2016.
My home is in Voe, on the hillside overlooking Olnafirth. As a lover of nature I never have far to look for inspiration. There is an abundance of wildlife here, with ever changing weather, varied coastline, flora and fauna. I am a keen bird watcher and sometimes spot otters too. All make wonderful subject matter.
Another passion is my garden which is very much a work in progress. We garden on a steep slope and with the extremes in weather it proves a challenge to say the least.
My paintings are in watercolour or acrylic on canvas. I also enjoy making mixed media pieces using wax crayon and ink. Commissions welcome.
My printmaking encompasses etching and block printing in the form of linocuts.
